Fourteen-year-old Tasneem from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was a responsible and very kind child particularly with her siblings. She used to take care of her clothes and made sure she was elegant. Her ambition was to be an Arabic language teacher.
On 24 August 2014, Tasneem and her family were in their yard. An Israeli missile directly hit them without prior warning. “Tasneem was immediately killed along with her mother, Rawia, and her three siblings. Her brother Thaer was seriously injured,” said her father Issam Mostafa Judah, who is 48.
