Sawsan from Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip was a happy, laughing and active child. She was very beautiful. She captured the hearts of others. “Sawsan's ambition was to be a doctor,” said her aunt Majida 43.
On 21 July 2014, Sawsan and her family remained in their house believing it to be a safe place. An Israeli missile hit their house. Sawsan was killed at the age of ten along with her parents and siblings: Yasser, 8; Yaseen, 9; Reem, 12; and Eleas, 4. Their body parts were scattered and could not be identified.
