Thirteen-year-old Samar from Beit Hanoun in the north of the Gaza Strip was the youngest of her siblings. She was a spoilt child. Her favorite hobbies were dancing and climbing trees. She was tall and an active girl,” her aunt Ne’ma says. Ne’ma is 51.
On 18 July 2014, Samar was killed along with many members of her family when Israeli missiles targeted her house without prior warning. “She sustained shrapnel to the head and died of her wounds,” her aunt added.
