Eleven-year-old Reem from Beit Lahia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was an ambitious and active child. She was the first child for her parents. She was an outstanding student. During the war, Reem and her family relocated to Al Salam residential tower seeking shelter. On 21 July 2014, Israeli missiles hit the tower without prior warning. Reem and her four siblings were immediately killed. "I still miss her, she was an excellent student at school,” her teacher said.
