Eight-year-old Rawan from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was an orphan girl. Her father died when she was three. She was a spoilt child. She was an outstanding student. Her hobby was to act as a teacher. Her ambition was to be a doctor in the future.
On 3 August 2014, Rawan was staying in her uncle's house in Beer Al Na'ajah. The house was targeted by Israeli warplanes. Rawan, her uncle, Abed allah, 13 and her cousin, Mahmoud, 8, were killed.
