Date of Death: 3 August 2014
Three-year-old Raghad Mohamed Sadi Abu Nejem from Jabaliya was due to start kindergarten the month after she was killed. She was the only girl in her family and so she used to copy her brothers all the time, even trying to dress like them. She was close to her grandmother and liked to help her around the house. On 3 August 2014, Raghad, her mother and her cousin Shaimaa were sitting in their house in the living room when the house next door was attacked by an Israeli warplane. As a result of the attack, the surrounding walls collapsed in on them, killing them instantly. Raghad’s cousin and best friend, Feras, 4, keeps asking her father to get her out of her grave so that they can play together again.
