Ten-year-old Omar from Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip was a sociable, active and happy child. His dream was to live like other children. He did not like school and studying. He would rush to play after school.
On 19 July 2014, eight Israeli missiles hit the street in front of Omar’s house. Seven people were killed including Omar and his brother Yossef, 16. “Before he died, he was screaming for help while holding the paramedic's shirt,” said his sister Dena, 28.
