Date of birth: 26 January 1999
Date of death: 29 July 2014
Fifteen-year-old Mohamed from Beer Al Na’ajah in Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip was very kind with his mother. He used to help her around the house. He used to take care of his brothers. He enjoyed going to the beach with his friends because they liked swimming and riding bicycles. He never slept early. His ambition and dream was to join university and to be a teacher.
It was the second day of the Eid holiday when there was a random Israeli shelling. His entire family decided to seek shelter in their basement. While going down the stairs, a shell hit them and Mohamed sustained serious injuries to his neck. His mother was shocked and called her husband to call an ambulance. His mouth was full of blood. He died before the ambulance arrived. “Sometimes I cry, and other times I pretend I'm strong, how can I forget the kindest person. He was helping me in all my activities,” his mother said.
