Fifteen-year-old Hosam from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was a prudent and responsible child. He was an outstanding student and looked forward to joining university and to graduating. His ambition was that his family and his country live in peace. "He was my right-arm; I was depending on him in so many ways,” his father, Ibrahim said. He is 39.
During the war, on 13 July 2014, Hosam was in his house. An Israeli drone targeted the house with a missile, without prior warning. The house was destroyed. Hosam was seriously injured and died shortly after, according to his father.
