Thirteen-year-old Esraa from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was a funny and humorous child. She liked to play with her friends. She used to help her mother in her household tasks. "I still miss her and her jokes," said her brother who survives her and is 20 years old.
Esraa was killed in the Balata family massacre along with her mother and nine others from the same family when their house was targeted by Israeli missiles. "I wonder; why they were killed," her grandfather added.
