Fifteen-year-old Ehab Mohamed from Beit Hanoun refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was an obedient and active child. He was an outstanding student at school. His hobby was playing football and was an FC Barcelona fan. He was a player in the Beit Hanoun football club. “His ambition was to be a professional football player,” said his dad, Mohamed, 38.
Mohamed and his family relocated to the UNRWA Abu Hussein School in Jabalia seeking shelter. On 30 July 2014, Israeli warplanes launched a missile at the school without prior warning. Mohamed was seriously injured and his brother Osama was immediately killed. Mohamed was transferred to many hospitals in search of appropriate medical care. Five months later he died of his wounds, his father, Mohamed, 38, said.
