Name: Doa'a Samy Ibrahim Sa'ada
Date of birth: 6 January 2003
Date of death: 26 July 2014
Eleven-year-old Doa'a from Beit Hanoun in the north of the Gaza Strip was an only child, and was very much spoiled by her mother. Her hobbies were drawing and decorating her room. She bought a new red dress for the Eid holiday. She used to sing and dance for her mother.
On 26 July 2014, Doa'a and her family returned home from the UNRWA shelter. Israeli shelling had resumed that day. Israeli forces asked them to evacuate the house. As soon as they tried to leave, a piece of shrapnel hit Doa'a's body and she was immediately killed. "We all miss her," said her mom.
