At approximately 9:00 am on Friday 28 February 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at Amna Ateyya Mahmoud Qdeeh, 57, resident of Khuza’a village east of Khan Younis, when she approached the separation fence between Gaza Strip and Israel.
Ambulance crews and the Red Cross coordinated with the Israeli forces to search for her.
They searched for her for several hours but they could not find her.
At approximately 6:30 am on Saturday 1 March 2014, her relatives found her body and they carried her to the Gaza European hospital.
According to Al Mezan’s available information, the woman was suffering from mental disorder and she left her house in Khza’a village and lost her way till she reached the border area north east of Khuza’a village and was being shot by the Israeli forces.
