IOF Opens Fire at Palestinians East of Jabaliya, 17 Persons Injured

At approximately 2:15 pm on Friday 14 February 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) fired live ammunition and launched tear gas at tens of Palestinian youth and children who were near the separation fence east of the Islamic Cemetery east of Jabaliya, in the North Gaza district.
The shooting continued until 6:00 pm.
Of the 17 people injured in the attack, four were children.
Nine people sustained injuries from live ammunition, one person sustained injuries from a rubber bullet, six people were injured by tear gas canisters, and one person suffered asphyxiation due to tear gas inhalation.
Al Mezan has identified their names as follows: Ahmed Fawwaz Washah, 21, sustained a bullet wound in his right leg; Mahmoud Nafez Juha, 20, sustained a bullet wound in the right leg joint; Mohammed Tayseer Zamlat, 16, sustained a bullet wound in his left leg; Sa’eed Al Abed Shalash, 28, sustained a bullet wound in his left leg; His brother Arafat, 18, sustained a bullet wound in his right thigh; Mohammed Raed Jad Allah, 17, sustained a bullet wound in his right leg; Mohammed Nezar Hamdan, 24, sustained a bullet wound in his left leg knee; Mohammed Yousif Khella, 24, sustained a bullet wound his left hand; Ramez Mahmoud Abu Ghaben, 18, sustained a bullet wound in his right leg; Deya’ Ahmed Al Natoor, 17, was injured by a gas canister in his left leg; Tamer Raed Washah, 16, was injured by a gas canister in his right leg; Mohannad Mo’een Abdel Nabbi, 17, was injured by a gas canister in the groin area; Belal Abdel Bari Abu Foul, 25, was injured by a gas canister in his right leg; Bakri Attyya Jarada, 25, was injured by a gas canister in his left leg; Tareq Abdel Raheem Abu Ghneema, 21, was injured by a gas canister in his right leg.
A’ed Azzam Helles, 22, was injured by a gas canister in his left leg; and Ahmed Mahmoud Al Mabhouh, 23, was suffocated by the tear gas.
The first three persons sustained critical injuries and were referred to Shifa hospital.
