At approximately 6:30 am on Tuesday 11 February 2014, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the Gaza sea north and west of Al Waha area-near the maritime borders- west of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district.
According to Al Mezan’s filed investigations, two Israeli rubber boats surrounded a Palestinian fishing boat was one kilometer off the coast adjacent to the illuminated buoys and arrested Fadel Jamal Ramadan As-Sultan, 24.
The Israeli forces then went to another boat, surrounded it and arrested two fishermen who were on the board, Mohammed Abdel Nabi Rajab As-Saleebi, 41, and his son Ahmed, 17, and confiscated their boat and the other one boat.
They were released on the same day without their boats at 8:00 pm from Erez crossing.
