At approximately 8:00 pm on Thursday 31 October 2013, a number of Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) tanks and armored bulldozers moved, under covering of flying drones, from Al Sreij gate on the border line east Khan Younis about 200 meters to Al Qarara village.
The Israeli bulldozers razed and leveled the lands adjacent to the border line in the southeast of Az-Zannah area.

At approximately 11:00 pm of the same day, an explosion was heard in the incursion area followed by intensive shooting.
The IOF also fired several artillery missiles toward the agricultural lands there.
After about 10 minutes, the Israeli aircrafts that were flying in the area, started firing toward the agricultural fields.
The sound of explosions and shooting lasted till 11:30 of the same day.
At approximately 11:30 pm of the same day, one of the Palestinian factions announced the murder of one of its members, Rabee’ Khalil Suliman Baraka, 23, and the injury of another, moderate injuries, while the resentence fighters were fighting the IOF east Al Qarara and Abasan Al Jadeeda village.
The IOF withdrew from the area at 2:30 am on Friday 1 November 2013.
At approximately 5:00 am on Friday 1 November 2013, Israeli aircrafts fired a missile and targeted an agricultural land in Al Qarara village east Khan Younis leaving a big hole in the place.
No injuries were reported.
At approximately 5:30 am on the same day, one of the Palestinian factions announced the murder of three of its members as a result of the shelling and clashes that the incursion area witnessed.
Al Mezan has identified them as follows:
· Khaled Mohammed Jum’a Abu Bakra, 35;
· Mohammed Rasheed Hussain Dawoud, 26; and
· Mohammed Issam Omar Al Qassas, 23.
·
· The IOF prevented the ambulance crews and the civil defense teamfrom arriving the place to refer the persons killed, and it hindered their work for almost 32 hours.
The IOF allowed the medical crews and the Red Cross to arrive the place at approximately 8:00 am on Saturday 2013.
The searching process for the dead bodies continued till 4:00 pm of the same day.
The ambulance crews managed through this period to lift the body of Khaled Mohammed Abu Bakra from a tunnel for Al Qassam brigades in the area.
Abu Baraka sustained burns in his face and bruises and fractures.
The search process for the two other bodies was postponed because of the expiration of the IOF limited period of time given for medical crews to search in the area.
