At approximately 4:00 pm on Thursday 15 August 2013, internal security apparatus detained Naheel Sameer Az-Za’aneen, 34, while he was near his home in Al Sheikh Redwan neighborhood in Gaza. The apparatus detained him at Ansawr prison and he is still in detention when this news was being published at 11:00 pm on Monday 19 August 2013. Az-Za’aneen is an officer at the preventative security apparatus, one of the security arms of the Ramallah Palestinian Authority which is now inactive in Gaza. He is still in detentionwhen this piece of news was beingpublishedat 11:30 am on Tuesday 21 August 2013.
