At approximately 2:40 pm on Thursday 14 February 2013, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a number of Palestinian who were collecting rubble and scrap from Al Omma land east of Beit Hanoun.
They were 200 meters away from the separation fence when the IOF opened fire at them.
As a result, Kamal Adham Al Kafarna, 20, sustained bullet wound in the abdomen and Husam Sameh Al Kafarna, 20, sustained bullet wound in the left hand that caused a fracture.
Medical sources at Beit Hanoun Hospital described the injury of Husam as critical and referred him to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City while Kamal’s injury was described as moderate and he was referred to Kamal Odwan Hospital.
