At approximately 12:30 pm on Friday 13 July 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire in the direction of the agricultural fields north of the As-Siyafa area, northwest of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district.
As a result, one person was killed.
According to medical sources at Kamal Odwan Hospital, the body was dismembered and it was difficult to identify it.
In the evening hours of Monday 16 July 2012, the body was identified.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the International Committee of the Red Cross coordinated with the IOF to allow a Palestinian ambulance to retrieve the body at approximately 10:00 am on Saturday 14 July 2012.
The body was found ten meters away from the northern separation fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel.
At approximately 11:00 am on the same day, the remains were received at the hospital.
