At approximately 7:20 pm on Saturday 17 March 2012, Suhaib Majed Sultan, 6, sustained a bullet wound in the right thigh.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the child was injured while he was playing with his brothers in his home.
Their sheet-metal house, about 80 square meters in area, is located in the As-Salam neighborhood west of Rafah crossing, about four kilometers away from the eastern separation fence.
The boy was transported to Abu Yousif An-Najjar Hospital in a civilian car, and then referred to Gaza European Hospital.
His injuries were described as moderate.
The time of Suhaib’s injury coincides with gunfire by Israeli Occupation Forces stationed in a watch tower near the Karam Abu Salim (Kerem Shalom) border crossing.
