At approximately 5:00 pm on Wednesday 23 November 2011, a force from the Internal Security Apparatus arrested Hatem Salem Mustafa, 47, executive director of the Al Watan Al Hur Development Association.
He was arrested while outside his home.
Shortly after his arrest, another force searched his house and confiscated his laptop.
At approximately 4:00 pm on Thursday 24 November 2011, a force from the Internal Security Apparatus detained Jbreel Ismail Ahmed Salah, 36, and Husam Tayseer Abu Nada, 35, board members of the association.
At approximately 6:00 pm on the same day, a force from the Internal Security Apparatus searched the association’s office and confiscated two computers and some documents.
The force informed the owner of the building that the association’s office was not to be opened pending further notice.
The three arrested association members have now been detained for more than one month, and remained in detention as this news was being published at 12:50 pm on 26 December 2011.
It is worth noting that the association is a charitable one focusing on women and children.
Three persons work there.
About 150 school-age students benefit from the association’s provision of supplementary classes.
