At app. 8pm on Saturday 30 January 2010, Bassam Awni Hamad, 45, was injured in his right leg from two live bullets. He was injured as he was sitting with his brother, Hashem, 50, in front of his house in An-Nusirat refugee camp in the middle-Gaza district. Four persons riding a white car passed near the two brothers and opened fire at Hamad. He was admitted to Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah town.
