10:20pm on Tuesday 5 January 2009, an Israeli warplane launched a missile at a group of Palestinians on street No 2, east of Al Qarara village in the southern Gaza district of Khan Younis.
The attack occurred about 1500 meters from the separation fence between Gaza and Israel.
Jihad Abdel Raheem Ahmed As-Smiri, 23, was killed.
As-Simri is known for his affiliation with the An-Nasser Salah Ad-Din Brigades, the military wing of Popular Resistance Committees.
Three other persons sustained moderate injuries in this attack.
They were admitted at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis city.
