11am, on 8 April 2008, the IOF expanded its incursion into eastern Gaza City and reached eastern areas of southern Jabaliya.
Seven IOF military vehicles entered near Al Shuhda'a cemetery, then headed west, and stationed near Al Ga'el fuel station on Al Qerm Street.

11:45am, one of the tanks fired an artillery missile, followed by several live bullets at a car.
Many young men were in that car, which was located near a paint factory on Al Karama Road (north of Al Ga'el petrol station).
The missile landed near the car.
As a result, two of the young men in the car were injured and the structure of the car was damaged partly.
When Red Crescent ambulances reached the area of the attack, the IOF opened fire on them.
As a result, the IOF forced them to retreat without treating or transporting the injured.

12pm, four IOF military vehicles headed north along Al Karama Road and stationed in eastern Jabalia.
The IOF opened fire intensively during this time.
At app, 12:45pm, the vehicles withdrew to eastern Gaza City near southern Al Shuhda'a cemetery.

12:50pm, the IOF allowed ambulances to enter the area to transport the body of 30-year-old Awad Mahmoud Al Tahrawi.
He died after receiving several live bullets to different parts of his body.
He was a resident of Gaza City.
Ambulances also transported one injured person.
He was reported to have sustained moderate injury.
