Al Mezan Condemns the Injury of Four Palestinians by a locally Made Rockets in Beit Hanoun

On Tuesday 6 April 2010, four Palestinians, including a father and two children, were injured when a locally made rocket fell on Biet Hanoun town.
  According to Al Mezan's field information, at app.
8:10pm on Tuesday 6 April 2010, a Palestinian locally made rocket fell, by mistake, on a residential area east of Ghassan Kanafani Development Institution in the Al Amal neighborhood,  north east of Beit Hanoun in North Gaza District.
As a result, four persons were injured while they were near their homes.
One of the four was a 16-year-old child.
Al Mezan identified the names of injured persons as follows: Mohammed Monzir Al Amawi,16, shrapnel in the legs and left hand; Emad Mohammed Sabir Abu Oda,38, shrapnel in the thigh and the groan; Mahmoud Hussein Nasir,57, shrapnel in the left hand; and Nasim Mahmoud Nasir,27, shrapnel in the abdomen According to medical sources at Kamal Odwan Hospital, their injuries are between moderate and serious.
  Two residential homes were partially damaged in this incident.
One of the houses where 56 persons live, belongs to Mahmoud Hussein Nasir, is a three-storey house and about 251 square meters.

The other house where 20 persons live, belongs to Ezat Abdel Karem Ekhtawat.
It is an asbestos house and about 200 square meters.

  Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights asserts the government is legally obliged to provide protection to civilians and civilian objects under the international humanitarian law (IHL).
Therefore, Al Mezan calls on the Gaza government  and law enforcement persons to take necessary procedures to protect civilians and their properties.
