The state of insecurity in the Palestinian society has worsened in breach of the law, killing seven Palestinians on Tuesday and Wednesday two of them are in critical conditions.
During this week, two cars were blown up, and fire shootings targeted a university teacher and a car.
Thus, the total number of victims of the insecurity state since the beginning of 2006 reached 53 among which were 6 killings, and 6 kidnappings two of which were committed against foreigners.
According to Al Mezan field workers, at approximately 8:20am on February 15, Ibrahim Salim Safi, 18, was exposed to several gunshots at his chest following a family dispute in Khan Younis.
Medical resources reported 7 injuries one of them is in serious conditions Tayseer Jomo'a, 23.
The family dispute caused 6 killings and 30 injuries in addition to damaging and burring properties.
Further, Mr.
Ayoub Othman, university professor, was exposed to shootings.
On the other hand, bombs were placed under two vehicles, the first owned by Ismael Abdullah Al Areirni, which was parked in front of his house in Deir Al Balah, and the second owned by Samih Abu Jebba, his car was parked in front of his place of residence at Al Johara tower in Gaza City.
On February 14th, it was reported a fire shooting towards a car owned by Shafiq Al Talouli, another car owned by Hani Habib, journalist, was damaged.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights documented during 2005, 995 killings and injuries, among which were 151 children, 100 killed among whom were 22 under the age of 18.
Furthermore, 42 persons were kidnapped, of them 18 foreigners.
Al Mezan Center hereby expresses its profound sorrow and regret upon losing such a big number of citizens, it also condemns the escalation of the state of insecurity, and the PNA's inability to take effective procedures to halt this state, which has encouraged citizens to break the law.
accordingly, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights calls upon the PNA to immediately take practical steps to put an end to the state of insecurity, impose the law, and exterminate all armed forms within the Palestinian street to ensure security and stability.
