Israeli navy opens fire at Palestinian fishing boats and injures a fisher off Al-Waha Coast in the northern district

At approximately 12 p.m., on Wednesday, 23 August 2023, the Israeli navy opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats sailing three nautical miles off the Al-Waha maritime area in the North Gaza District and injured the fisherman Mohammed Mohammed Bakr, 30, with a rubber bullet in his back. Medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital described his injury as minor. Fishermen who were sailing in the area left the sea to avoid potential risks.
