Three citizens injured as suspect device detonates in Khan Younis

At approximately 4pm, on 8 October 2007, three citizens were injured as a suspect device detonate in the house of Khaled Hamdan Swei'id, near Sufa Crossing, east of Khan Younis town.
According to filed information by Al Mezan, the explosion took place as a result of misusing the device which was found by the 11-year-old Mahmoud Khaled Swei'id, close to his house, which is 1500 meters from the borderline.
The explosion resulted in inuring Mahmoud by shrapnel wounds and cutting his right hand's fingers, his sister Kholoud, 14, by shrapnel wounds to her hands, and his father, by shrapnel wounds to his face.

It is probable that the device was a remnant of IOF who entered the area on the 3rd of October 2007.
