Police Settled Beit Lahia Clan Fight

A fight broke out between Jadallah and Balousha clans, on the one hand, and Abu Al-Jidyan clan, on the other hand.
The fight erupted at around 21:00 on Saturday, 25 October 2008 near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia Housing Project.
Members of those families had previous disagreements and fought with white weapons and stones but no injuries were reported.
Police intervened with a large number of policemen and armored vehicles.
They dispersed the mobs, broke into the houses of the fighting families and detained a number of persons.
Field investigations say that the reason behind this fight was disagreement among children.
Police detained three members of Abu Al-Jidyan clan: Khalil Fayez Al-Jidyan, 38, and his two brothers, Iyyad, 32, and Ahmad, 28.
Iyyad and Ahmad were released later.
