50am, on 27 December 2008, an IOF warplane hit the security and protection base, which is located close to the al Aqsa university in Khan Younis.
The attack destroyed the base completely, injured one person and spread panic among the university's female students.
In a separate attack on the same day, the IOF shelled a base for al Qassam Brigades in Al Qizan area in Khan Younis, destroying it completely.
The IOF also destroyed a marine police base in western Khan Younis
