On 31/12/2007, in the context of clashes that broke out in various areas of northern Gaza Strip, the police of the deposed government carried out attacks in order to prevent Fateh followers from observing the anniversary of their movement.
These attacks caused the killing of an elderly man, Ibrahim Abu Dalakh, 78.
Four citizens were injured by live bullets, including one elderly woman.
Forty-four citizens sustained bruises from beating, and dozens of homes were raided.
The police also arrested 67 citizens in various areas of northern Gaza Strip.
While forty persons have since been released, 27 others remain under detention.
