36 Palestinians Injured, Nine of Them Children, in Israeli Shooting in East Burij

At 4:30pm on Friday, 3 August 2018, Israeli forces used live ammunition and tear-gas canisters against hundreds of Palestinians who joined the Great Return March demonstration in east Burij refugee camp. 32 protesters, including nine children, sustained different wounds. The total number of casualties caused by live ammunition and tear-gas canisters was 20, six of them children, and their injuries ranged in severity from light to serious. 15 protesters suffered from breathing problems due to Israeli forces’ heavy use of tear gas. The Israel shooting continued until 8pm pn the same day.
