At 6pm on Wednesday, 2 May 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders of Khan Younis opened fire and launched tear-gas canisters at a group of demonstrators assembling in the area, to the east of Khuzaa town in Khan Younis. Three demonstrators were injured by shrapnel of live fire. Doctors at the European Gaza Hospital described their injuries to be moderate. Israeli shooting continued sporadically for several hours on the same day.
