At 2pm on Saturday, 28 April 2018, Israeli forces based in monitoring sites opened fire and launched tear-gas grenades at hundreds of children and youth joining the “Great Return March” demonstration held to the east of Al Shuhada cemetery in eastern Jabalia refugee camp in North Gaza governorate. One demonstrator was injured by live fire in the left leg. Doctors at the Indonesia Hospital assessed his injury to be moderate. Demonstrators who suffered from tear gas inhalation received the necessary treatment by field-based medical teams. Israeli shooting continued until the evening on the same day.
