At 9am on Monday, 16 April 2018, Israeli forces, accompanied by a number of military vehicles, moved about 70 meters into the east of Al Fakhari area in southeastern Khan Younis, and they engaged in bulldozing of land and buttressed the second of two separation fences across the border area. The incursion lasted for several hours and continued northward to Khuzaa town in eastern Khan Younis. During the incursion, Israeli forces opened fire at Palestinians assembling in Al Awda camp, organized since 30 March 2018 as part of the “Great Return March”. No casualties were reported. Israeli forces withdrew back behind the borders at 6pm.
