At approximately 11:30 am on Sunday, 4 December 2016, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off Al Waha area northwest Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district and arrested two fishermen.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the gunboat surrounded a bout carrying two fishermen, Sa’adi Mustafa Al Sultan, 30 and Shafeeq Mustafa Al Sultan, 28, residents of Beit Lahiya, arrested them and confiscated their boat. They were about three nautical miles away from the coast when the Israeli forces arrested them.
