IOF Opens Fire at Palestinian Farmers and Shepherd Northern Beit Hanoun

At approximately 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 24 August 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a number of farmers and shepherds who were eastern the Al Qatbaneya area north of the agricultural area north of Beit Hanoun in North Gaza district. As a result, Nour Ouda Sulaiman Abu Jarad, 30, sustained a bullet wound in his left leg. Medical sources at the Indonesian Hospital described his injury as moderate. According to Al Mezan’s filed investigations, Abu Jarad  is a shepherd who usually takes his flock to the border area because there is plenty of grass there. He was s about 200 meters away from the borders when the IOF opened fire at him. His brother Bakr, 20, took him away from the place and people admitted him to the Indonesian Hospital. Farmers who were in the area were terrified and left the area without continuing their work.
