At approximately 5:00 am on Wednesday, 15 June 2016, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats western the coast off Al Sheikh ‘Ijlin southwest Gaza city. According to Al Mezan’s filed investigations, Israeli gunboats surrounded four small fishing boats and arrested ten fishermen who were on boards. Al Mezan identified their names as the follows:
Israeli forces forced the fishermen to take off their clothes and swim toward one of the Israeli gunboats where they were detained. The Israeli forces took the fishermen to unknown destination.
