At approximately 2:40 pm on Friday 23 May 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened sporadic fire and launched tear gas canisters at the weekly demonstration which is organized by a group of people against the access restricted area east of the Islamic cemetery east of Jabaliya in north Gaza district.
Shooting continued until 4:00 pm on the same day.
No injuries were reported.
As a result of shooting, farmers abandoned their farms and left the area.
According to Al Mezan’s filed investigations, the repetition of this incident took a form of peaceful protest against the access restricted area east of Jabaliya.
