At approximately 10:30 am on Tuesday 10 December 2013, the family of Omar Ismail Omar Wadi, 22, received a phone call from its son informing them of being detained by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).
According to Al Mezan’s field investigation, Wadi, who lives in Be’r An-Na’ja area in Jabaliya in North Gaza district, went out from his home at the same date but he didn’t come back.
He was injured twice before.
He sustained shrapnel bullet wound in his legs in 11 January 2013, and a bullet wound in his chest in 8 March 2013 when he was east of the Islamic cemetery east of Jabaliya.
Al Mezan’s lawyer who is following up the case was informed that the IOF prevented to publish any information about his detention.
He was allowed to call his family just a week ago.
