IOF Opens Fire at Olive Pickers North of Beit Hanoun

At approximately 9:45 am on Tuesday 16 October 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at Palestinian olive pickers who were in the Khaiyal family land north of Beit Hanoun.
The land is about 400 meters away from the separation fence between Gaza Strip and Israel.
No casualties or injuries were reported.
The firing continued for about 20 minutes.
Oliver collectors were terrified and hide behind olive trees then they continued their work.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, about 17 Palestinian volunteers and an international volunteer were picking olives in a campaign for picking olives launched by Arab Center for Agricultural Development in cooperation with Local Initiative in Beit Hanoun.
