At approximately 4:30 am on Thursday 22 December 2011, Israeli tanks accompanied by armored bulldozers moved under heavy covering fire and aircraft overflights about 400 meters into the Abu Reeda area east of Khuzaa’ village, in eastern Khan Younis district.
The bulldozers proceeded to level lands in that area.
Due to the heavy gunfire, Khuzaa’ Secondary School for Girls and Boys was evacuated.
At approximately 8:45 am on the same day, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) withdrew from the area.
The gunfire continued until 10:30 am.
No casualties or injuries were reported.
