At approximately 9:10pm on Thursday 28 April 2011, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), positioned at the separation fence east of Gaza Valley, south east of Gaza City, fired several artillery shells on a residential house.
As a result, two adults and two children were injured.
The house belongs to Jabir Ismail E'alian Abu Isa'iyd, 65, and is located 350 meters away from the separation fence.
In his affidavit to Al Mezan, the landlord of the house and the father of the injuredchildren said that he was sitting in the upper floor of his house when he heard four consecutive explosions.
As a result, his son Alaa Ad-Din, 10, sustained shrapnel in the abdomen and the neck and his daughter Maysaa, 6, sustained bruises in the chest and the abdomen.
Then he heard another two consecutive explosions.
He instantly took his children downstairs.
Later he knew that his brother Mohammed, 27, who lives near Jabir's house, was injured in the head and his wife Sanaa, 25, was injured in the right leg.
The house was also physically damaged as a result of the attack.
Ambulances from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society arrived at the place of the attack and carried the injured persons to Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al Balah.
