At approximately 3am on Thursday 2 November 2010, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired about 17 artillery shells at open areas in the Abu Safiya area, the Al Wadi area, and the vicinity of the Martyrs Cemetery east of Jabalia town, in North Gaza district.
As a result, Jalal Abdel Kareem Mohammed Nasser and Ibrahim Mahmoud An-Najjar (20 and 21 respectively) were killed.
Both of them were residents of Jabalia town.
Thirty minutes later, seven Israeli tanks accompanied by armored bulldozers moved about 200 meters into the eastern parts of the Martyrs Cemetery east of the town.
Bulldozers leveled lands that had been razed in the past.
At approximately 6:15am on the same day, the IOF withdrew from the area.
No injuries or casualties were reported in this limited incursion.
At noon, five Israeli tanks moved about 200 meters into the same area.
The IOF opened fire at Palestinians who were in the cemetery’s grave yard.
No injuries or casualties were reported in this limited incursion.
At approximately 1:20pm on the same day, the IOF withdrew from the area.
At approximately 5:25pm on the same day, Palestinian ambulances were allowed to enter the area to evacuate the dead bodies.
