midnight on Saturday 17 April 2010, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF), that are usually positioned at Erez crossing, arrested Adham Salah Ad-Din Mohammed Shatara, 35, while he was with his family on their way to Jordan.
According to Al Mezan's field investigations, Mr.
Shatara and his family came to Gaza to visit their relatives.
Mr.
Shatara works for the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and he came to Gaza when the PNA was established.
He got married and returned to Jordan.
He holds a Palestinian ID card.
In her affidavit to Al Mezan, his wife Ikhlas Abdullah Saqer,26, said that at app.
midnight on Friday 16 April 2010, she and her family arrived at the Erez crossing coming from Jordan.
The IOF stopped her husband and detained him.
Ikhlas and her two children Len, 5, and Salah Ad-Din,2, waited for her husband until 2:30am on Sunday 17 April 2010, but the IOF informed her that they had arrested him.
The IOF then allowed Ikhlas and her two children to go through the Erez crossing into the Gaza Strip and ordered her to go to the liaison office, There was no one at the office so Ikhlas waited and then walked with her children towards Al Ghazalat 800 meters south of the Erez crossing.
A resident in the area accommodated her and her children and in the morning her relatives collected her.
Her husband is still being detained by the IOF.
