On June 23rd, IOF closed Rafah crossing , which is the only gateway for Gazans to access the outside world.
The Rafah crossing was first closed on June 21st and reopened the following day; more than a thousand Palestinian travelers, including women and children, have been left stranded on both sides of the crossing.
IOF prevented international observers from resuming their work in the crossing which must close if they are not present.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns the IOF action which occurs parallel with the suffocating siege imposed on the Gaza Strip in a continuation of the IOF collective punishment against Palestinians.
