On 19 June 2007, at app. 12:40, 5 IOF military vehicles penetrated the area around Eriz checkpoint under intensive fire so as to provide protection to Israeli ambulances which reached Eriz to help wounded Palestinians inside it. At app. 13:30 on the same day, the IOF opened fire at Palestinians inside Eriz injuring Hala Abu Shabab, 22, with live bullet to her left leg. Abu Shabab was reported to have sustained moderate injury. The IOF withdrew from the area at app. 16:00.
