On Wednesday, 4/6/2008, at approximately 11:30 am, police raided the headquarters of the Water Authority, near Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
One of the officers asked personnel to hand over the offices' keys and to leave the building.
Four officers went into the office of the Water Authority's Deputy Chairman, Mr.
Ribhi As Sheikh, on the upper floor.
They asked As Sheikh for the keys to the premises and all car keys.
According to Water Authority personnel, the police informed them that there is a decision from the Council of Ministers to take over the Water Authority headquarters.
When As Sheikh asked them for proof of the decision in writing, one of them answered "we are here only to implement the decision.
