In the First Breach of Ceasefire: IOF Injures Elderly Farmer

IOF continues to open fire randomly at anyone who approaches the northern and western separation borders with Israel.

In the first breach of the ceasefire, on Monday, 23/6/2008, at approximately 7:30am, the IOF opened fired on a group of boys who approached the northern border, northwest of Beit Lahia.

As a result, an elderly farmer, 67-year-old Jamil Abdel Rahman Al Ghoul, was shot in his right shoulder and the bullet lodged in his neck.
Medical sources from Kamal Odwan Hospital described his injury as serious.

It is noteworthy that Al Ghoul was on his farm, located in As Sayafa neighborhood, 400 meters from the border.
