Face-the-Public on “Environmental Pollution and its Impact on ESC Rights in Southern Gaza City.

This meeting took place in the Sheikh Ijlin neighborhood of Gaza city on 5th May 2005.
It focused on the problems generated by the existence of an environmentally hazardous treatment plant in the neighborhood and the efforts that have been made by the government and the Municipality to curtail the environmental damage caused by the plant.
The meeting aimed at finding a long- term solution for the problem, which directly affects the Gazan population by causing damage to agriculture as well as to the aquifer which supplies Gaza with water.
